Lets take a virtual tour of Juniata shops
Posted by ThoroughBreed on Sunday, 20 July 2008 (01:00:00) (10 reads)
Heres a great site for a virtual tour of the Juniata Shops in Altoona, PA. Explore all the links:
A general history; the gallery contains a tour of the car shops, paint shop; roster shots of steam and electric locos constructed in the shops; miscellaneous photos of modern power with some cameos of NS OCS; A time line; Diagrams and Maps with track plans for the 12"=1' scale; A listing of current build programs, rebuilds, and conversions.
I guarantee theres enough info in there to keep you occupied for a bit, lol. So grab a cup of coffee, and sit back and explore the former PRR shops.

Ever look at your rolling stock and wonder "whats missing?" Heres an interesting site to get actual placards for your rolling stock from. Just what you needed to dress up that tank car or even box cars, to give them that authentic look.

CONTEST WINNER FOR THE JUNE CONTEST
Posted by jmarksbery on Monday, 07 July 2008 (17:57:57) (32 reads)
Skip was the winner by a landslide vote this month. A fine looking scene it was also with a look into the engine house and the waiting engines out side.

NAPTOWN and WHITE RIVER.....
Posted by IronGoat on Friday, 04 July 2008 (15:55:04) (45 reads)
The Naptown & White River is the premier MRR Club located in Indianapolis, IN, where 30+ very active members maintain a stand-alone building which houses a sizeable HO scale layout, and a N scale layout that is in progress.
They have plenty of layout photos, and several layout video's showing their operation... and they even have the 2 Guyz Forum listed on their site as a useful site!!!
Enjoy the tour...

This weeks site of the week is the Yosemite Short Line which was an On30 layout built for showing at the 2004 National Narrow Gauge Convention in December, 2002. The site showcases the layout and the great modeling and scenery that went into it. Click more for a sample image.

Ever want to know what an FT would look like in BNSF punkin paint? Or how a PA1 would look in your freelance paint scheme? Look no further than The Railroad Paint Shop where you can download unpainted "line" bitmaps of your favorite locomotive and butcher, er, paint and decorate it to your hearts delight.
