Is the DM&E owned by IC&E??? (or vice versa...) This is a real puzzle since I have never seen either of these two lines before, and here they are 30 miles from my home, and in a town I spend a lot of time in.... Liberty, Missouri.

I guess I better get the prescription on my eye glasses checked!

Well, I GOOGLED the DM&E and the Iowa Chicago & Eastern, and they have shared sites/links. I assumed as much, due to the fact that they have a common color scheme in the above photos.

Both go through my town!!!!!!!!!!!!! The DM&E use some locos that used to be RI units. they still have the names that the RI gave them

The IC&E locomotives used to be IMRL locos An IC&E GP9 still retains it white and red colors from its soo line days.

I live right where the IC&E leaves the mississippi river/iowa border at the bottom of the "nose". IDK for sure cuz I usually don't pinpoint my location on a map.
