Here's a photo of the timesaver switching layout I put together yesterday.
It is a close copy of John Allen's design.
This will be set up at Saturdays show for people to operate.

Here's a few photos of an Athearn metal and wood box car I am working on.
All the paint except on the sides was pealing off so I took it apart to repaint it.

Looking forward to seeing that old timer finished, Ray. I've pulled away from the shunting puzzle for a bit to make a slug unit for my Athearn Hustler pair.

I cut off the cab and hood, then filled in the gaps with scrap styrene.

I cut a hood for the unit from a scrap box moving van, shortened it about six feet then reattached the end. Then I used a lot of styrene weld to make it a good, strong shell. I finished up with a buff of real fine sandpaper.

Coupled up for some handrail bending and such...

Thanks, Ray. The hood was an afterthought. I was looking for some sheet styrene to make a box and shape it down when I found this rattling around the junk drawer. When I saw it was the right width and curvature I couldn't resist. Guess my LPBs'll hafta look to their cousin with a pickup truck for their moving needs for now. Rolling Eyes

Here's something Jim and I have been emailing back and forth for a backdrop in my 4 foot open space , I've been using PS and Jim's been using errr ah what was it Jim. I wish I had more time to play with it but have been super busy , Jim got a real good start for me though.

I'm not sure what I've been doing wrong with my image uploading but if you expand the image a couple times it'll get bigger. Very Happy

Well, I did another little business for a back alley on the puter and gave it a build.

It had been a few things over the years including a pawn shop so when the Barrel Company took it over it simply gave it the same name, thus the Black Pearl Barrel Co.

Here's a few pictures of the all paper model.
