While the death toll continues to rise in the Japan's worst train wreck in decades to 76, I can't but wonder what this picture is all about?
AP PHOTO Why are these police offices ( I assume) standing looking at the carnage rather than looking for survivors? Latest news reports state that "Rescuers pulled two survivors from the gnarled wreckage" while National broadcaster NHK said more than 10 bodies were still in the wreckage of the 580-passenger train, and the death toll likely would increase. At least 456 people were injured. So I ask why are they standing around with their thumbs up their butt? But I wondered why they were standing at "parade rest" too. Take care, Vic

I had at first thought they might bee security, but they are facing the wrong way unless they are trying to keep people in the train. And this was written by grumpy old man, not Fred. by fred_m on Wednesday, April 27, 2005 (13:01:08) (User Info | Send a Message) Grumpy Old Man
